Combination of my 3 design features - Shoes , Dress & the Bracelet.

End Result :

I call this De Stijl Fashion.

This is the completed look with the shoes ad the jewelry piece (bracelet).

The colours and the design is evenly distributed on the dress and the shoe.

This look is very girly and edgy.

It also looks like a summery dress, because of it's vivid colours.

A good use of the De Stijl's typical iconography.

Modification, Transformation, (14th post)

I modified the dress I designed in the last post . As I already sad , I wasn't pleased with how it looked with the black T-Shirt underneath. But I only removed the sleeves and kept the part of the cleavage covered with a black fabric (could be chiffon). To match that I also changed the colour of the strap at the waistline, black to continue with the theme of De Stijl (Black & White + Red, Blue and Yellow).

I also designed a pair of shoes that could go with the dress. This is a modern style shoe - wedge, unlike the one in the film, Casablanca.

Transforming  a flat  2D De Stijl design into a 3D design.

Designing, Transformation (13th post)

Inspiration: Film >> Casablanca >> Ingrid Bergman (female fatal) >> Her White Dress (also I posted it in a previous post)

This particular part of the film Ingrid is seen quite clearly in her white dress. I took this as an inspiration to put the De Stijl design on , as I had to incorporate Film in my project.

This is a drawing of the dress that I transformed with the De Stijl design. (Still debating weather or not to do the black sleeves, but most probably I'm going to take them off the design).

De Stijl inspired design as I explained in a previous post.



Using it's basic design, Squares & rectangles, vertical & horizontal lines & the primary colours + black & white I designed a simplified version on a dress.

So far I'm very happy with the design of the dress, but I'm thinking of changing the design of the shoes and also add some accessories that go along with the theme; to transform a De Stijl design into a wearable and fashionable garment.
